DOMINIC Law might look like your average 12-year-old boy, but what lies beneath the surface is one of the South Burnett's youngest entrepreneurs.

Wondai State School student Dominic has been tirelessly collecting bottles since the Containers for Change recycling scheme started late last year.

"I have made $591 in the last few months," he said.

Dominic first had the idea after seeing an advertisement on television promoting the 10 cent refund for every bottle collected.

The motivated go-getter has a goal to make $2000 before the end of the year.

"I am allowed to have $1000 for Christmas," he said.

"I am going to buy a motor bike and something nice for mum."

Dominic's mum, Shanon Law, said she was impressed with her son's ambitious ways and admitted it had started to rub off on her and the family.

"When he first started, I thought it might be a good way for him to make some pocket money," she said.

"But if I knew you could make that much I'd be doing it myself."

Dominic's efforts have been boosted since his mum set up a drop-off point at her work for people to leave their bottles for the enterprising young man.

The cashed-up youngster encouraged more kids his age to collect the bottles and save up their dollars.

"I'd say to anyone who is thinking of doing it to try your hardest and get your parents to help by driving you to the recycle centre," he said.

Ms Law said at this rate, by the time he was old enough to drive he will have enough to buy a car.

The pint-sized entrepreneur liked the sound of that.

"I might buy a Mustang," he said.
