Monto gets a plug on a national radio show
THE friendliness of the people of Monto is now known around the country.
In a segment on the John Laws Show where Mr Laws asks callers to ring in and tell of what's on their mind, a lady called up to talk about how great her experience of Monto was after she visited for two weeks.
"Everyone in that teeny, tiny town was so wonderful, so friendly, and I think they deserve a yay for the day," she said.
"From the people in the newsagency, from the people in the little coffee shop, the people at the service centre - just everyone was just really, really friendly and made us feel part of their town.
"I just want everybody to know about Monto."
The caller went on to speak of the quality of product all the shops in the town offer.
Will this get more tourists coming up to the North Burnett?
Time will tell.
The John Laws Show is on the 2SM Super Network and broadcasts from Sydney.
