Activities afternoon supports children

CHILDREN will be celebrated at the Mundubbera Community Development Association to mark Children's Week.

The theme for Children's Week this year is Article 12 of the The United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, stating "Children's views and opinions are respected and children have the right to express those views freely in all matters affecting the child and the right to be heard”.

The afternoon fun for kids will be held on Friday October 19, from 4.30pm, offering craft activities and entertainment.

Children will get the chance to create paper planes and take part in paper plane competitions.

At 6pm, the movie Paper Planes will be screened - bring your own beanbag or pillow so you can get comfortable to watch the film.

There will be a sausage sizzle as well as doughnuts, popcorn and drinks to buy.

The afternoon will support Mundubbera Kindy and Mundubbera School P&C.

Mundubbera Town Pool has supplied the prizes for the event.

The event is being held by Save the Children Australia.
