
Biggenden is set to party with Christmas Fair
THE main street of Biggenden is set to be a hive of activity on Saturday December 22 with the staging of the Biggenden Apex Club's Christmas Carnival.
Businesses have been invited to stay open so residents can take the time to do some last minute Christmas shopping.
The carnival gets underway from 5pm until 9pm and there is an action packed program with something for the entire family.
Various organizations will be having hot chips, seafood, cold drinks, glow sticks, lollies and face painting.
As well there will be a mobile gourmet coffee van and soft serve ice creams.
Biggenden Apex Club members will be in charge of the barbecue and producing their famous hamburgers. They will also have ham and seafood lucky wheel and raffles.
There will be market stalls offering a variety of gifts and craft for last minute Christmas gifts. Anyone wanting to have a stall contact Robbie Radel on 41271774
For the children as well as the face painting there will be a variety of rides and slides which will be situated in the area in front of the railway yards entrance
The club's special guest in the form of Santa Claus will arrive with bags of lollies for the children.
The night skies will light up with a fireworks display thanks to sponsorship by Ergon and Bendigo Community Bank.
