Biggenden man arrested in marijuana sting
TWO North Burnett men have been charged in unrelated drug offences on February 2.
A 39-year-old Biggenden man was arrested after police found marijuana and drug utensils at an Edward St property.
Police carried out a search warrant at 1.25pm and spoke with the man before the arrest was made.
He will appear in Maryborough Magistrates Court on March 3, charged with possession of a dangerous drug and drug utensils.
Later that afternoon, police from Mundubbera Station charged a 25-year-old Eidsvold man with possession of property used in connection with a drug offence.
"Police allegedly intercepted the man at about 3.40pm at Strathdee St for the purpose of a random breath test,” a QPS spokesperson said.
As a result of the breath test and licence checks it was revealed that the driver did not have a current licence.
A search of the vehicle also located drug utensils.
The man was issued with a notice to appear for the drug and traffic offences, and is due to appear in Gayndah Magistrates Court on March 15.
