POLICE have arrested and charged a 13-year-old boy after an incident in Lismore yesterday.

At 11.40am yesterday, plain clothes police officers from the Richmond Local Area Command Target Action Group stopped and spoke with a group of young males on Molesworth Street, Lismore.

CBD Security Officers apprehended the young person and restrained him until police arrived.

He was subsequently arrested and taken to Lismore Police Station where he was charged with not complying with police direction; using offensive language; affray; and malicious damage.

He was released on conditional bail to appear at Lismore Childrens Court at a later date.
