WHALE watching operators will save $6000 in fees this year.

The announcement was made by Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk at the Hervey Bay Boat Club this morning.

The Chronicle understands the changes will be statewide.

It's the Premier's second day in the region.

Yesterday she announced funding for Tinana business Allweld Manufacturing.
