Burnett prepares for InTrust competition
RUGBY LEAGUE: The InTrust Super Cup is taking place in less than seven weeks and preparation is under way to ensure it comes off as a success in Mundubbera.
The Super Cup committee, along with rugby league supporters, is busy delegating roles and tasks at fortnightly meetings.
The InTrust Super Cup lands in regional Queensland as part of Country Week on July 22-23.
Around 400 spectators and players are predicted to turn out for the match held in Mundubbera.
The match, between the East Tigers and North Devils, will televised on Channel 9.
Sports Minister Michael de Brenni said he was pleased to see it held in the region.
"I'm proud that our government will continue to support the Queensland Rugby League's Intrust Super Cup Country Week initiative with a three-year sponsorship commitment,” de Brenni said.
President of Mundubbera Tigers Cameron MacDonald was pleased.
"It's great to have the InTrust in Mundubbera, we're all pleased to be part of it,” MacDonald said.
