Business owners have now shoed in to Mundubbera

A NEW shoe store in Mundubbera comes with a little bit of a musical twist.

Meg and Allan Cunningham are the owners of Music Rooms Shoes, which opened its doors this month.

"The idea has come from my teaching room as I teach piano and violin out the back and I thought, what would I call the store?” Mrs Cunningham said.

"When people are in the store they'll be hearing music.”

At the new store, there is also a room for children to keep themselves entertained while the parents shop.

Mr and Mrs Cunningham said they decided it would be a good concept for families.

"We have the room at the back where the children can play and listen to music while parents can just shop in peace,” Mrs Cunningham said.

"We're still setting up the room but that's what it will be used for, so parents can come along and shop for shoes.”

Music Room Shoes is catering for everyone's shoe needs in the region.

"Our main products that we're selling is Colorado and Diana Ferrari brands,” Mrs Cunningham said.

"We've also gone into Clarke and Barter school shoes, gardening shoes, Sloggers, walking shoes, mongrel and Bata industrial boots, K&J sandals, and we've also got kid shoes from the Walnut shoes down in Melbourne.”

"Our shop caters for mums and dads, babies, children, adults and we've also got football boots coming in shortly which will be a great asset for those interested in playing sports.

"It's taken a while to get them in but they should be here in the next few weeks.”

Since its opening, Mrs Cunningham said a wide range of people had walked through the doors.

"It has been very successful, our main seller is probably the Diana Ferrari brand as well as Colorado,” Mrs Cunningham said.

"Our opening hours are 11am to 5pm Monday to Friday and Saturday mornings our shop is open from 9am to 12pm.”
