BUSTED: Rifle and drugs discovered at Burnett property

WEAPONS and drugs were on Mundubbera's police radar this past week as raids took place at a Boynewood property.

The Wide Bay Tactical Crime unit along with the Mundubbera police executed a number of search warrants on Sunday, June 17.

It will be alleged a 26-year-old Boynewood man was in possession of a smoking utensil, a rifle and a category M weapon.

The man was issued a notice to appear in the Gayndah Magistrates Court in relation to these offences.

The same man was detected driving an unregistered and uninsured motor vehicle and was issued on the spot fines.

In a separate incident, the tactical crime unit detected a 26-year-old allegedly drink driving at midnight on Saturday, June 16.

A 26-year-old Mundubbera female allegedly breath-tested 0.064 and received a mid range drink driving charge.

The female was issued with a 24-hour license suspension and was given a notice to appear in the Gayndah Magistrates Court next month.
