Car smashes into Sunshine Coast building

UPDATE 12.55PM: Queensland Ambulance have confirmed that a woman in her 60s has been taken to hospital after crashing her car into a building.

A witness said that the brick building came off relatively unscathed, but the woman's white hatchback was taken away on the back of a tow truck.

Paramedics transported the woman to Nambour Hospital in a stable condition. No others were injured because of the crash. 

EARLIER 11.58AM: A CAR has careered into the side of a building on the Sunshine Coast.

A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman confirmed paramedics had been called to Tewantin after 11.30am amid reports that a vehicle has crashed into the side of a building.

Paramedics have just arrived at the Hilton Terrace/Ernest Street scene.

They are assessing the injured.
