Car smashes into woman, inflicts serious head injuries
A WOMAN has suffered serious injuries after she was hit by a car on a Sunshine Coast suburban street.
The woman was walking at Maroochy Waters Dr near Plymouth Quay in Maroochydore just before 5.30pm last night when she was struck.
Paramedics rushed to the scene, and found the woman had suffered serious head injuries.
She was taken to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital, with a critical care paramedic in the ambulance.
