Celebrating seniors week in grand style

SENIORS Week was celebrated at the Mundubbera Community Hall on Tuesday with around 60 guests who enjoyed some good company and a delicious meal.

The Mundubbera Community Development Association hosted the event which turned out to be a huge success.

Centre manager Bobby Leigh-Redgard said it was a great event which allowed the community to come together and celebrate seniors week.

"There was great feedback, everyone enjoyed the meal and they loved the music, apparently they would like to have one every week,” Mrs Redgard said.

"The school students did the table service and (a local cafe) did the catering and we really appreciated it.”

Mrs Redgard said it was all about celebrating Queenslanders of all ages.

"It was celebrating seniors (and we also wanted) to bring different ages together so the children helping with the catering learn to speak to older people,” she said.

Mrs Redgard would like to thank those who helped ensure the event ran smoothly.
