Child grooming charges follow dramatic airport arrest
A MAN will front court this morning accused of committing online child grooming offences while communicating online with Queensland detectives posing as a 14-year-old girl.
Police arrested the 37-year-old man when he arrived at the Brisbane International Airport yesterday afternoon and have since seized two portable devices.
Detectives are expected to allege the man committed offences on the portable devices on July 4 and 5.
They will also allege that the man engaged in sexually explicit communications with police from Taskforce Argos who were posing as a 14-year-old girl.
He has been charged with one count of using the internet to procure a child under 16 years of age and is due to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court this morning.
