Cilla brings live children’s show to local stages
CILLA Slack is bringing her Blue Gum Farm TV live show tour home to the North Burnett for the school holidays.
After a successful tour to Brisbane and Ipswich, where she brought some farm spice into the city, MsSlack will now sing her songs to an audience who will relate most.
"I think farm kids really identify and take a bit of pride when they hear the songs and say 'hey, this is about us'," she said.
"I am amazingly excited. It will be fantastic to do the tour around home and it's going to be so much fun."
She will use the opportunity to debut a song she says is her new favourite.
"It's called Little Black Galoshes - it's about putting on your boots and jumping in mud puddles after the rain," she said.
Coming along for the tour are co-stars Mundubbera girls Nat and Izzy Kassulke, alongside fluffy regulars.
"I keep it a secret as to which animal I'll bring on tour," she said.
"All the animals are from my farm and at different times feature in the TV show."
For all the Blue Gum Farm TV fans, new episodes are coming.
"I am always working on new material. At the moment I am doing all the really fun behind-the- scenes stuff," she said.
"The next DVD will be released around November."
