Clash for Cash competition underway

THE annual Clash for Cash competition is underway with nine teams vying to be the champion.

Life Member of the Mundubbera Tigers, Gavin Ford, said the event is off to a good start.

"The first game played was ISIS against Murgon with Murgon winning the match,” Ford said.

"Second team for ISIS played against Eidsvold and ISIS won the game,” he said.

The third game played was Mundubbera Tigers against Eastern Suburbs from Bundaberg.

The result ended with Eastern Suburbs winning 18-14.

It's a big turn-out that braced the football field in Mundubbera for a good game of rugby league.

"I would say around a couple of hundred people are here,” Ford said.

Semi-finals will kick off at 3pm and 3:30pm with the Women's exhibition match starting at 4pm.

"There's an exhibition ladies match and then finals with the top teams playing off,” Ford said.

The main final will kick off at 5pm.
