AUSTRALIAN comedian Russell Gilbert has posted a tribute on Instagram mourning the loss of his fiance and partner of 19 years, Rochelle Nolan.

The Daily Mail reports Ms Nolan was found dead in a hotel room in Melbourne on Thursday afternoon and police are not treating her death as suspicious.

In his tribute, Mr Gilbert said he will remember Rochelle "before she got broken" saying she was an angel and "mental illness, is part of life".

He has urged others to "look out for someone close, when you see the signs" and tagged his Instagram post with the hashtags #suicide, #beyondblue, #lifeline and included Lifeline's contact details.
