Desilting works announced for Gayndah-Mount Perry Rd

THE Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) will this month begin undertaking drainage works on Gayndah-Mt Perry Road.

The works include extending and desilting 17 culverts from Byrnestown, north of Grevell St, to Mingo, north of Kalliwa Connection Rd.

This work will improve drainage and road safety and is expected to take approximately four weeks to complete, weather permitting.

For the duration of works, the site will be reduced to a single lane, under traffic control.

Lane closures will be undertaken between 6am-6pm, Monday to Friday.

To carry out these works safely and efficiently, traffic controllers, closures and speed restrictions will be in place as required, with every effort made to minimise disruptions during peak times.

Motorists should factor in additional travel time for their journey.

Works will be carried out by North Burnett Regional Council staff.

TMR and Council thanked all motorists in advance for their patience and cooperation while these works are under way.

For further information please contact TMRs communications team in Bundaberg on 1300 728 390 during business hours, email bundaberg.office@tmr.qld.gov.au or contact Council's Works staff on 1300 696 272 or email Council.
