NO-ONE noticed it at the time, but there was a dragon dancing in the flames of a cane fire at Woodburn last week.
Paul Stanley Jones took this remarkable shot on August 28 when he went out with his son, Harry, to watch the cane fires burning across the road from his place at Richmond Street.
And, in case you're wondering if this image may have been "assisted" a bit with Photoshop, Paul insists it's the real deal.
"The photo is as genuine as they come! I didn't even know I'd captured it until my son was going through my photos and said to me"I love the photo of the dragon" and he showed me the pic," Paul said.

"We live in Richmond St in Woodburn, and they were burning the cane across the road.
"I was about to get ready for work when my son Harry came running in and said 'Dad, they're burning the cane, grab your bike, let's go!'
"We were there for about half an hour capturing the burn from start to finish.
The noise is awesome, and the sun was setting and a full moon was out, so we filmed and took heaps of pictures and got rained on by the 'Woodburn snow'."
Among those pictures was the image of a dragon, which existed for barely an instant in the swirl of the flames but, luckily for Paul (and us), in the very instant his finger hit the button on his camera.
