Ellen shames audience member

WHO would ever try to steal from Ellen? Well, a woman named Nancy, for one.

When The Ellen Show told audience members they could each take one item from the store as a souvenir from the show, they were all mostly obedient. Except for the aforementioned Nancy. Because you see, if Ellen likes anything more than being generous, it's spying on people. Homegirl loves a prank! So she had a whole bunch of hidden cameras set up to capture her audience as they shopped. Oh, Nancy.

Watch as Ellen calls her out for taking more than one item, and Nancy's poor, poor excuse for being greedy. As she does, Ellen basks in every moment of making Nancy and every single person witnessing this exchange cringe like never before. Nancy is ultimately a good sport, repeatedly slapping herself on the wrist. Has she learned her lesson? Doubtful. Even a trip to "Ellen Jail" doesn't seem to have scared her straight.

The bit aired earlier this season on the show, which is currently on hiatus. So even if you think you've seen it before and it can't be that awkward a second time, well, you're wrong. Everyone, on Nancy's behalf, watch it again and learn the lesson at hand: Ellen is always watching.
