Man dead following unit fire

A MAN has died and a crime scene has been established following a fire at a unit complex north of Brisbane this morning.

Police confirmed the man was found deceased inside the unit.

Firefighters and paramedics were called to the scene at 6.30am to a unit block on Georgina St and Oxley Ave at Woody Point.

The fire was brought under control at around 6.50am.

Police have declared a crime scene as they begin investigations into the blaze.
