THE Central and North Burnett Times has partnered with Evolution Mines to provide free vests that will allow the wearer to enter into the draw for some great prizes at the upcoming Mt Perry Fun Day.
The vests will be included in next week's edition of the newspaper.
Evolution Mines administration assistant and Fun Day liaison officer Anita Ward said the vests had been designed for kids but everyone was welcome to get involved.
"It's mainly going to be for the kids," Mrs Ward said. "You get your vest from the newspaper and when you come to the family fun day you find the office and register the number on the vest to go into the draw."
Prizes will be drawn throughout the day.
"We will draw numbers every hour during the day so every kid and person with a registered number could win a prize," Mrs Ward said.
"The vest will also have our sponsors on there and this year it will be for anybody and everybody who makes any donations."
Organisers have also thought about those who might forget their vest.
"No one will miss out," Mrs Ward said.
"Those that don't have a vest when they turn up on the day can see us and get one of our reserve vests."
Mrs Ward said the aim of the promotion was to ensure children felt part of the day's activities.
"It is always good for the kids to get involved," she said.
People must be wearing their vest to win a prize.
"You have to have your vest on when we do the draws," Mrs Ward said.
"It's a lightweight vest so it shouldn't get too hot."
Teams involved with the truck pull are encouraged to write their name on the front of the vest.
"The other side will be where the registration number is," Mrs Ward said.
