Fatal crash investigation report delivered in court

A FULL investigation report of a fatal traffic crash in which a rising Toowoomba footballer died has been handed over in court.

Solicitor Nathan Bouchier this morning accepted the accident investigation report from police prosecutor Senior Constable Al Windsor during a brief appearance in the Toowoomba Magistrates Court.

The report relates to a single-vehicle crash at Blue Mountain Heights in August last year in which footballer Lachlan Percy, 17, died.

Mr Bouchier represents Jake Andrew Gary Cooper, 20, who has been charged with "dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death whilst excessively speeding".

Mr Cooper was not required to appear in court and has not been required to enter a plea to the charge.

Magistrate Graham Lee adjourned the matter for mention on May 25.
