Fete is fun for all ages
THE annual St Joseph's Parish Fete is returning to Gayndah on Friday, November 25 from 5.30pm on the school grounds.
St Joseph's employee Amy Glisson said the fete helped to strengthen the relationships between the church and school as well as the wider community.
"The fete is a major source of their fundraising and the school and parish work really closely together," Mrs Glisson said.
"We are excited to announce that we are having some new stalls to help draw new people to the event, including a photo booth, flowers, clothing and your inspiration at home products along with all the old favourites.
"Popular stalls from the past will include things like the ham wheel, major raffles and rides, a side show alley and a sweets stall."
Some other stalls and attractions on offer will include a body shop, crafts station for the creatively minded and some desserts and cupcake decorating for anyone with a sweet tooth.
"This is an annual event where we want to draw in more visitors to our school and parish," Mrs Glisson said.
"As well as a great family night out it's also a great opportunity to support local businesses who have helped with the event.
"This will be a fun night for people of all ages."
Ride wristbands are on sale at the school office giving unlimited rides on the night of the fete with the major raffle tickets being sold on the night.
First prize is $900 worth of vouchers to be spent in Gayndah.
"The school parish would like to thank all those from the community who have supported the fete through donations and sponsorship," Mrs Glisson said.
