UPDATE 2PM: Owners of the farm Colin and Helen Rohde have spent the morning inspecting the damage to the shed and their machinery.

Mrs Rohde said the family was grateful Mr Rohde was not in the tractor when it caught fire last night.

A truck, a tractor and a number of units of farming equipment have been destroyed at the property, along with the shed.

UPDATE 8AM: A fire investigator from Toowoomba is working to establish the cause of last night's blaze that destroyed a shed in Cecil Plains, causing $1 million worth of damage to machinery.

A fire crew from Cecil Plains has joined the investigator at Warfields Branch Rd. 

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said the Cecil Plains fire-fighter that was treated for exhaustion had also been vomiting.

EARLIER 10.45PM: A fire-fighter has been treated for injuries at the scene of a massive blaze that destroyed a shed in Cecil Plains tonight.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokesman said the Cecil Plains fire-fighter was treated for minor injuries and possible exhaustion after working on the scene.

The fire started about 6pm inside the 50m by 50m shed with a tractor sparking the blaze.

It was fully ablaze when crews arrived and took three hours for fire crews to extinguish.

More than $1 million dollars of machinery was destroyed in the fire on Warfields Branch Rd outside of Cecil Plains on a cotton farm.

He said the building collapsed after the fire engulfed the shed.

Seven trucks were tasked to the blaze from Toowoomba, Cecil Plains, Pittsworth, Oakey and Dalby.

He said a fire crew was still on-scene dampening the area. It was extinguished by 9pm.

Investigations are continuing. The fire is not considered suspicious.
