FIRE WARNING: Crews monitoring fire in North Burnett

QUEENSLAND Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) are on the scene at a vegetation fire in the North Burnett.

As of 10.10am a vegetation fire is burning near Gayndah Mount Perry Rd and Kalliwa Connection Rd, Mingo.

A QFES spokesman said they were called yesterday December 8 at approximately 3.45pm, and it is still burning now.

It is an ongoing fire, but it poses no threat at this stage.

Crews are working with heavy machinery to construct containment lines, with smoke affecting the area.

Residents should close windows and doors, and keep respiratory medications close by if required.

Motorists should drive with caution and to conditions.
