Help give Bud back his sight
A GoFundme page has been started by Biggenden’s Brian Lowe to help his best mate Bud undergo a cataract operation.
The 11 year old jack russell maybe as fit as a fiddle but is going blind.
Mr Lowe said it breaks my heart to see him struggle with every day things.
“He’s my best mate and means the world to me,” he said.
The 75 year-old pensioner said they would be forever grateful for any assistance.
“We are all battlers,’’ he said.
“I’ve never asked anyone for financial support in my lifetime.
Mr Lowe said the cost is $3500 for one eye or $5000 for the two.

“Being able to see out of one eye would improve Bud’s quality of life.”
Mr Lowe is well known in the community and across the North Burnett with his 30-40 hours a week volunteering especially for the State Emergency Service.
Fellow SES member Ashleigh Porter offered to put the fundraiser up on Facebook
“This was a lovely gesture,” he said.
“But being pig headed and independent I have decided to be humble and put it out there and see who could help with this curable condition.
Mr Lowe said no doubt people will think here’s the country burning and he’s just a dog.
“But there is just Bud and me and it is so nice to have some company,” he said.
“He is certainly the best companion as he never complains or asks where I’ve been.”
