Hitting the road to hear your stories
I HIT the road on Friday and spent the day collecting stories from Monto and the surrounding areas.
I visited a school, checked out the mobile dental service, introduced myself to more business owners, donned a hard hat at a construction site, spoke to campers at Wuruma Dam and chatted to Councillor Paul Lobegeier and locals while enjoying lunch at Cafe Delicous.
A local also flagged down our new, and clearly marked, Central and North Burnett Times car to give me a news tip.
Overall it was a highly productive day and I thoroughly enjoyed meeting more of you, our readers.
Many of our best stories have come from you picking up the phone, sending an email or stopping us in the street to offer a news tip or an issue you have identified.
To ensure all of our towns' great stories are heard, my colleague Alex and I are excited to continue these trips and would love to hear any story ideas you have.
Ahead of any trips, we endeavour to post to the town's online community group.
