Horse riding accident leaves woman seriously injured

A WOMAN was airlifted on Friday by the Sunshine Coast-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter after she was seriously injured in a horse riding accident on her property, approximately 60 kilometres west of Maryborough. 

It is believed the woman, aged in her 50s, fell from her horse as she was going over a jump. 

Her husband witnessed the fall and dialled Triple-0.

The woman was airlifted to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
