OUR SAY: THIS week we've asked people whether or not they're happy with the National Broadband Network and their responses were not surprising.

Last year it was announced Bundaberg would be the first ones to get NBN and as of November 2016, complaints continued to rise as there were many houses that still could not be connected - or it was just too slow.

When we conducted a poll on Facebook, some of the users who commented had no idea we could get NBN in the North Burnett, others said it was okay for a few minutes then it would be too slow and some couldn't see the benefits of getting NBN at all.

In the North Burnett, I believe it is imperative that we are connected to reliable internet.

In a small town and region, many people have loved ones who live in the cities and without NBN or ADSL, you can feel isolated.

I've been waiting for NBN to arrive in my apartment for over two months, the company said they'd arrive but never showed. It's the fourth time I've spoken to them so far.

For now, I'll have to hotspot my data with my phone and pay more in data usage.
