IN BRIEF: Driving and drug offences
MURGON and Cherbourg police officers charged four people on December 9 as a result of vehicle checks in Murgon.
At around 4pm the police officers intercepted a Holden clubsport on Lamb St, Murgon.
Checks revealed the driver was unlicensed at the time.
A 20-year-old Victoria Point woman will appear in Murgon Magistrates Court on January 8, charged with unlicensed driving.
Officers also intercepted a Holden Commodore on the Bunya Highway near Murgon at around 5.30pm that afternoon.
A search of the man's vehicle located drug items and dangerous drugs.
The 35-year-old Tara driver will appear in Murgon Magistrates Court on January 21, charged with possessing dangerous drugs and possessing property which had been used in connection with the commission of a drug offence.
The police officers also intercepted a Mazda Atenza on Lamb St at around 9pm.
Checks revealed the vehicle was unregistered at the time, and searches of the car revealed dangerous drugs and various drug items.
A 32-year-old Rosewood man will appear in the Murgon Magistrates Court on January 15.
He was charged with unregistered driving and uninsured vehicle and possessing utensils or pipes that have been used.
A 21-year-old Leichhardt man will also appear in Murgon Magistrates Court on the same day, charged with the possession of dangerous drugs.
