WITH a full year of business under their belts, Gayndah Norco store managers Brett and Sharon Jordan have had enough experience to gauge how successful their investment is.

Mr Jordan has an extensive background in rural based industries, and turning to the supply side seemed a natural fit for him.

"It was worth the investment, it has been very good. We have always been here and I have a strong rural background, I've been a rep before and I have my own farm," Mr Jordan said.

"I've been in the industry my whole life, I can identify with the reps and farmers."

Norco presented an opportunity to Mr and Mrs Jordan to keep doing what they specialised in but in a much more timely manner.

"It is something where you get to be home with your family a lot more," Mr Jordan said.

"It has worked out well for us."

One of the first things Mr and Mrs Jordan wanted to tackle when they opened the new Gayndah Norco was to introduce more variety to their stock.

A garden nursery seemed the perfect choice.

"It has added a lot of features to the business and brings a lot of different people into the business," Mr Jordan said.

"So we have become more than just rural supplies, we basically sell everything for the garden too so it has exceeded our expectations."

To celebrate their one year anniversary Mr and Mrs Jordan held an open day inviting a number of reps.

Mr Jordan was thrilled with the result.

"It exceeded everything we have expected," Mr Jordan said.

"They day has been really good and successful. A lot of people turned up from other areas and should continue very well next year.

"This has been a very good year."
