Jail for mother of three after assault of 66-year-old

A MOTHER of three has been sent to prison after punching a 66-year-old woman in the head for no reason.

Candice Lee Harrison, 27, pleaded guilty to four counts of assault, including the serious assault of Ipswich woman Donna Payne, who was punched in the chin while waiting for a bus in Bell St earlier this year.

The other three assaults were committed against men - two of whom Harrison did not know.

Harrison will spend the next four months in jail.

The victim's son, Adam Payne, said his mother was still badly shaken by the incident.
