'Bit of a joke': Japanese blog hijacks CQ dairy website

ONLINE visitors to the Monto Dairy Festival website could be in for a bit of a shock when they go to check out the page, as the website has turned into a Japanese blog.

Monto Dairy Festival president Tyrone O'Reilly said the website had been a Japanese blog for about two months.

"From what I can make out, the domain got parked, then we paid for it to get unparked and it just hasn't come back," Mr O'Reilly said. "We noticed it about two months ago and have been trying to get it looked at ever since then."

A person named Seth runs the blog which, according to a translation app, is called Relaxation of Jijo Toruhito. He appears to be blogging about life.

The most recent entry discussed how the writer went to the gym and cleaned the bath.

"I don't know what happens in Japanese minds," Mr O'Reilly said. "Maybe they thought it was a bit of a joke and a good name."

He said festival organisers were looking at getting a local IT person to see what was going on.
