Lowood pair held in jail for alleged baseball bat attack

TWO men accused of breaking into a middle-aged man's house and beating him with a baseball bat, have been remanded in custody.

At Ipswich Magistrates Court today, the two alleged attackers Colin Edward Abrahams, 51, and Nathan Jack Abrahams each faced charges in connection with the assault.

Both men are charged with entering a dwelling with intent and acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm.

It was alleged the pair forced their way into a 53-year-old man's Lowood home and assaulted the resident with a baseball bat before fleeing the scene.

The victim was transported to the Ipswich General Hospital and treated for injuries to his head and ribs.

The alleged incident is to have taken place at an address in Louis Crt, about 7pm on Sunday, August 30.

Both men were remanded in custody. Colin Abrahams will appear in court again tomorrow, while Nathan Abrahams is due in court again on September 16.
