Major rugby league match coming to South Burnett

THE South Burnett will host an Intrust Super Cup game in 2019.

Greg Pomfret, president of the South Burnett Rugby League, said details were unconfirmed but the match would be played in the region.

It is yet to be confirmed which club will host the game or when the game will be played next season.

The Intrust Super Cup is the top level rugby league competition in Queensland and is contested by 14 teams.

South Burnett players have gone on to play in the league including Lane Ferling and Chris Ostwald, who currently play for the Eastern Suburbs Tigers and Souths Logan Magpies respectively.
