Man allegedly kidnapped, bashed and dumped in bin

TWO men have been charged after they allegedly kidnapped a man, assaulted him and then dumped him into an industrial bin.

Police said Bayside detectives made the arrests following the alleged kidnapping and assault of a man at Birkdale in Redland City on Monday.

It will be alleged around 4am two men forcibly removed a 20-year-old man from a Barron Road residence, placing him into the rear of a vehicle.

It will be further alleged the men drove the 20-year-old man to Judy Holt Park where he assaulted further before being placed in an industrial bin.

The two men then allegedly left the scene in the vehicle. The 20-year-old sought assistance at a nearby house where he contacted police.

A 26-year-old man from Deception Bay and a 21-year-old man from Holland Park West have both been charged with one count each of; kidnapping, entering a dwelling with intent, receiving tainted property, deprivation of liberty, assault occasioning bodily harm whilst armed/in company and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

Both men are due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
