Man arrested over assault in Mundubbera

MUNDUBBERA police arrested a man yesterday in relation to an incident that occurred on Sunday May 7.

The 27-year-old Mundubbera man was arrested earlier this morning and charged with assault occasioning bodily harm, wilful damage and public nuisance in a licensed premise.

The alleged assault took place just after midnight on May 7 in Mundubbera.

Mundubbera Police Sergeant Daniel Clarke said there was zero tolerance for any alcohol fuelled violence in the community.

"This behaviour will not be tolerated," Sergeant Clarke said.

The man was later released on bail to attend the Gayndah Magistrates Court next month.
