Man dies in Proston crash

A MAN has died after his ute hit a tree in Proston this afternoon.

A 40-year-old South Toowoomba man was pronounced dead at the scene after his car crashed into a tree before rolling, a Queensland Police Service spokesperson confirmed.

Two passengers in the vehicle, a 50-year-old Newtown man and 26-year Wilsonton Heights man were flown to Brisbane with non-life threatening injuries.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the incident, which occurred on Mundubbera Durong Rd at about 12.30pm today.
