Man extradited for Coast hammer jewellery theft
A MAN has been extradited from South Australia to face charges over a brutal 2015 armed robbery that has already seen one man jailed.
On March 26, 2015, a man entered Nambour Jewellers in Nambour allegedly armed with a hammer.
Staff saw him coming and hid in a storeroom at the back of the store.
Four display cases and a mannequin bust were stolen, valued at about $20,000 for wholesale and about $60,000 for retail.

Detectives arrested two other men at the time of the incident, with the heist mastermind found guilty earlier this year.
The 40-year-old South Australian man had already left the area at the time.
Detectives extradited a 40-year-old man from South Australia yesterday and he has been charged with two counts of enter premises and commit indictable offences and one count of unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
He is due to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court this morning.
