Man to be airlifted with serious head injuries
THE Westpac Rescue Helicopter is en route to Coffs Harbour this afternoon responding to a man who has suffered serious head injuries.
A special medical retrieval team from John Hunter Hospital is being flown to Coffs Harbour Hospital to stabilise a 35-year-old who has suffered serious head injuries.
The man will be flown back to John Hunter Hospital.
The cause of the head injury is unknown at this stage, a spokesman for the service said.
