Matt Sinclair cooks up a storm

MASTERCHEF finalist Matt Sinclair was back in town last week, as he "cooked up a storm" at Noosa Heads restaurant Wood Fire Grill.

The Noosa local chef found time in his busy schedule to cook some special dishes at a private function at the Quamby Pl diner on Wednesday and Thursday nights.

Wood Fire Grill general manager David Jouy said the restaurant was happy to have Matt return and serve some of his signature dishes from the popular cooking show.

"We did a special night with him because he used to work with us just after the show," Mr Jouy said.

"It was his dishes from Masterchef, and new things. It was really, really good."

Matt has been busy dividing his time between Brisbane and Noosa, as he sets his sights on opening a permanent food stall at the famous Eat Street Markets.

Mr Jouy said they are looking at having Matt make more guest chef appearances in the near future.

"Definitely he will come back to do a few things with us," Mr Jouy said.
