Meghan’s relative gets reality show
ANOTHER one of Meghan Markle's relatives is cashing in on her name.
Tyler Dooley, the Duchess of Sussex's nephew from her former stepbrother Thomas Markle Jr., will star in MTV International's reality series The Royal Life thanks to his aunt marrying Prince Harry.
Dooley, who cites "Aunty Meghan" as his favourite royal because he doesn't know any of the others, previously profited from her royal status with his legal marijuana business, dubbed Royally Grown.
The farmer, who lives in Oregon, created a special strain called the Markle Sparkle in honour of the former Suits actress, Entertainment Tonight reports.
Dooley runs the business with his mother, Tracy Dooley, Thomas Markle Jr.'s ex-wife.
Dooley also admitted that he never watched the royal wedding, but says he was in London to "support" her on the big day, despite not being invited to the celebration.
In August, Dooley's father, Thomas Markle Jr, told the press that fame changed Meghan and that he wished the Markles, including Meghan's estranged father, Thomas Markle, would get the same treatment as Kate Middleton's family from the royals.
"Before she went to Suits, they were just in constant contact all the time and that's all he would ever talk about," Thomas Jr. griped of Meghan and Thomas Sr.'s relationship. "He dedicated all his time to her. But when she couldn't give him the time he needed or wanted to spend with her, he got upset about that. She didn't need him like she needed him before - she was getting everything she wanted from being a star and being on that show. He would have to reach out to her and I think their relationship became a lot more distant then and that hurt his feelings."
Thomas Jr. also claimed that pre-fame Meghan would have shown more concern for her father after he reportedly suffered a heart attack just before her wedding.
"Since Hollywood and being on that show - being a celebrity has changed her. Maybe she feels she is above everybody, maybe even more now," he said. "But if she wasn't with Prince Harry right now - even if she was still on 'Suits' right now - she would have stopped what she was doing to go and visit him and make sure he's OK. I think a lot of this probably has to do with Meghan."
Meanwhile, Meghan's estranged half-sister, Samantha Markle, apologised to the Duchess publicly - but was still turned away at the Kensington Palace gates this week.
