Mt Morgan in line for more than 200 jobs

CARBINE Resources are getting ready to wind up their final feasibility study and find funding to get the Mt Morgan gold mine reopened. 

Principal Consultant Patrick Walta said the company are hoping to the the studying finished by June. 

"It (the study) is the final level of due diligance," Mr Walta said. 

"Hopefully the results of that feasibility study are good enough to raise finance and hopefully get the plant running.

"If we get the commitment for that money, we will be right into it (starting up)." 

Mr Walta said more than 80 direct jobs and 200 indirect jobs would be available to locals if the mine is successful. 

Carbine's project includes rehabilitating the mine.
