Multiple Scoregasms soften up Deez Nuts

MULTIPLE Scoregasms accounted for Deez Nuts from Eidsvold 5-2 in a do-or-die battle last Monday night in a game that could have gone either way.

Deez Nuts' captain Anthony Billet said his team needed a bit of experience playing alongside each other.

"It would forge into a very good side," he said.

"We haven't played together as a team before so I think everyone should watch out."

Mundubbera Touch Association president Neil Reinke said the season started with two new teams from Eidsvold and five Mundubbera groups.

"We are thrilled with the sign-on tonight and I am thankful for the commitment of the Eidsvold teams for coming over," he said.

"The extra teams in our competition makes such a big difference to the satisfaction of playing different teams each week."

Reinke said the teams' names this year had taken some thought and lots of imagination.

"The Eidsvold teams are Stella and Deez Nuts, that name really refers to the state of mind of some of the players," he said.

"The old faithful teams are back with Retreads, Thrifty Link and 50 Shades of Black returning.

"Then there are some newcomers in Hammer Time, Thunder Down Under and Multiple Scoregasms."

There were some hit-outs this week but the real competition will get down to the nitty gritty next Monday night.

Multiple Scoregasms' captain Bailey Kimber said the Eidsvold team played well but the eventual winners proved too strong when it counted.

"Touch football is a wonderful spectator sport and all the teams this year are capable of some entertaining touch football," Kimber said.
