ABOUT one hundred people gathered for the dawn service at the cenotaph in Mundubbera on Monday, to commemorate to 101 anniversary of the Gallipoli landing.

There was also a service in the town hall at 10:30am, which was attended by about 250 people.

Mundubbera RSL president David Roach said he was happy with the number of people who attended the different services.

"Today went very well, always pleasing to see the numbers of people attend our service in the hall," Mr Roach said.

"We had a good attendance at the dawn service and then we went out to the sunrise service at the cemetery which is always a moving time as we still have war widows, who have lost there husbands who were ex-servicemen.

"Overall I was pleased to see the attendance."
