Mundubbera Motel to host a decadent date night
MOUTH watering meals, complimentary roses, and decadent chocolate desserts to be devoured with that special someone by twinkling candlelight, one Mundubbera businesses is kicking Valentine's Day up a notch this year.
Mark and Jackie Wuerschig of Mundubbera Motel are eager to really wow the community on one of their most booked nights of the year.
"We're going to transform our restaurant into an intimate setting, purpose-designed for couples enjoying Valentine's Day,” Mr Wuerschig said.
"It won't just be the regular steak, mashed potato and veggies, it will be what you'd see a fine-dining restaurant- a nice meal you can share a conversation over.
This will be the pair's first Valentine's Day managing the motel and they hope to add something new and special to the community with every celebration they cater for.
"The feedback we've had so far from both locals and visitors with our food has been good and this year they're going to see us taking up a notch,” Mr Wuerschig said.
"And they will get to see that with what we do this Valentine's Day.
"We're doing what we would want.”
For couples who opt to experience what the Wuerschigs create for the day of love, each person will be able to choose whether they want to enjoy an entree and main or a main and dessert, regardless of what their other half desires.
They will be seated in the Motel's newly renovated restaurant by the pool.
"And if buying flowers slips your mind on the day, we've got you covered you a complimentary rose,” Mr Wuerschig said.
"For the ladies we'll be offering wines, your sparklings and we're even going to come up with a cocktail special.
"We'll also have intimate lighting, candles and music.”
Mundubbera Motel will be catering for both local couples who just want to enjoy a special date at the restaurant, as well as guests who want to settle in for the night.
