NBA star claims ex is holding dogs ‘hostage’

PHOENIX Suns star Kelly Oubre JR is taking his ex-girlfriend to court for allegedly stealing his two dogs following an ugly break-up in May.

TMZ Sports reports Oubre, the No.15 pick in the 2015 NBA Draft, filed a lawsuit detailing the difficult time he'D had breaking things off with his ex, Makena Spooner LeDuff.

Oubre says the two began their relationship in 2017 while he was playing for the Washington Wizards and they stayed together through his trade to Phoenix in late 2018.

The two resided together in Beverly Hills following his move to the Suns.

The 23-year-old, who recently signed a two-year, $30 million extension with the Suns, claims that following their break-up, LeDuff refused to leave his house, slashed his tyres and stole some of his stuff - including two dogs that he owned prior to meeting her.

Oubre says he has tried to retrieve the two pups, Saint and Soul, from LeDuff, but she is "holding them hostage" in an attempt to get money. He is suing her for damages.

LeDuff posted a photo of Saint to her Instagram account on July 31, with the caption "my son so handsome".

KEVIN Durant isn't likely to take part at all during the 2019-20 NBA season as he recovers from a ruptured achilles.

The superstar forward moved on from the Golden State Warriors in the off-season and joined the revamped Brooklyn Nets alongside Kyrie Irving.

But it's away from the court where Durant has made waves with his social media interactions again becoming the focal point.

Durant was previously exposed as running burner accounts as he continues to feud with fans, but one NBA legend hopes he finds happiness. Wherever that may be.

"I hope that he finds happiness. If you can't find happiness at Golden State, where are you going to find it at?" Magic Johnson said on ESPN's First Take.

First of all, give Steph Curry a lot of credit for saying 'you know what, I'm a two-time MVP, I'm willing to take a back seat because I want to win. Give Klay Thompson a lot of credit - because you know whose game suffered the most? (It) was Klay Thompson …. Kevin, if you won back-to-back titles, you're the MVP of the Finals as well. Where are you going to find happiness at?"

Durant responded to the segment, but swiftly deleted the reply and led many to believe he had once again forgot to switch accounts.
