North Burnett Field Archers cancel Trad weekend

AFTER shooting for the first time since March on the weekend, the North Burnett Field Archers have decided to cancel their Trad weekend in August.

The club president Pauleen Dakin said the decision was not an easy one to make for the club.

“The club has decided to not hold the Trad weekend in August due to the uncertain nature of the virus,” Dakin said.

“The Trad shoot is our big annual event where we use all of the traditional archery equipment and we usually have a few archers come up from New South Wales.

“We were hoping the border would reopen in time, however that is not looking likely.”

The North Burnett Field Archers have members that make the journey from NSW for the Trad weekend and as a result have decided to cancel the weekend and start looking at 2021.

Dakin said they hope to hold a bigger and better one next year on the first weekend of August.
