Oh Boy! New ghost kitchen mixes street food with 90s nostalgia
A new ghost kitchen is opening in Toowoomba specialising in the ultimate comfort food, perfect for weekend indulging.
Oh Boy offers food which is a mix of exotic street food, out-of-this-world comfort food and a hint of 90s nostalgia.
However, customers aren’t able to dine in or head in to order takeaway, as Oh Boy will only be available on UberEats, MenuLog and HappyToo.
It is run out of a ghost kitchen which refers to a professional food preparation and cooking facility set up for the preparation of delivery-only meals.
It’s not the first of its kind in Toowoomba, with a number of others such as Supreme Leader, Double Dragon Dumplings and WingHAUS.
Part of the brand’s identity is remaining anonymous which means anonymous location and anonymous owners.
The owner said the idea for Oh Boy came during the height of the COVID-19 outbreak when the hospitality industry was forced to rely on online delivery services.
“We’re a group of Toowoomba locals that are passionate about positioning the Toowoomba hospitality industry as a must-visit destination,” he said.
“It’s hard to describe our specialities, our menu isn’t confined to a particular cuisine. We threw out the rule book when it came to creating our menu.”
Menu items include Saucy Noodz – a noodle dish, Fishy My Bishy – fish tacos, pluto pups and loaded hot dogs.

Oh Boy launches next Friday, November 27.
